Investing in Top Quality: 3 x KM1
Last April we added another Konica Minolta inkjet press to our stock of machines: the AccurioJet KM-1e. It is our third unit of the KM-1 series.
We have been using the KM-1 printing solutions since 2018, when we purchased the first machine to enable us to quickly deliver low- and medium-volume orders in B2+ format using digital inkjet printing. An exceptionally high quality of colour reproduction and a variety of supported formats and substrates motivated us to make the initial purchase. We also appreciated the fact that a KM-1 press takes little time make ready, and that it offers duplex printing.
Two years later, in 2020, we bought the second unit, and in April 2024 – the third one. Having used this solution for 6 years now, we can claim that it is a great alternative to solutions intended for low-volume offset printing. The KM-1 series meets the high expectations placed on us by even the most demanding clients. This is possible thanks to a sophisticated UV ink technology, stochastic image registration, traditional sheet feeding and accurate registration, as well as printing on B2+ sheets.

KM-1 has proven its worth in the printing of covers and magazines, as well as art album inserts – says Michał Rejnowski, the CEO of Totem. This made further purchases of KM-1 units a natural and obvious choice. In this way we did not only bet on an innovative system we are already familiar with, but also on a tried and tested solution. After the six years of using AccurioJet, having printed millions of sheets, we can vouch (and our clients will confirm it) that the print quality literally exceeds the standard set by offset printing presses. The new KM-1e will enable us to print on an extended range of substrates, including transparent film, metallized sheets and various textiles.
The April purchase is a proof of model business collaboration between Totem.com.pl and Konica Minolta. The partners have been doing business together for nearly two decades, as Totem bought the first digital printing equipment from Konica Minolta in 2005, when embarking on our digital printing adventure. At the time, those were monochrome toner-based Bizhub presses.
