Let us recall that since 2021, Totem has been using energy sourced entirely from renewable resources. Our green energy is supplied by Respect Energy SA.
Pursuant to § 44 of the Regulation of the Minister of Economy of 22 March 2023 on the detailed conditions for the functioning of the power system (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 819, as amended), Respect Energy SA published information on the fuels used to generate the electricity sold by the company in 2024.
According to the published data, nearly 60% of the energy supplied to Totem comes from wind power. The second largest source is solar energy, accounting for 37.04% (with a year-on-year increase of approximately 3%). Respect Energy also uses biogas (3.43%) and, to a small extent, hydropower from small hydroelectric plants (0.45%) to generate the electricity it sells.
Totem’s use of green energy is an integral part of our philosophy: production with the lowest possible impact on the natural environment and with respect for natural resources.
